Who do you do your best work with?
Personally I feel I perform best with guests who have an idea of what they want but are also open to my feedback and suggestions! I love when people trust me and give me the creative freedom to make them look amazing and give them a hair color and cut that integrates into their lifestyle and ideal maintenance. A guest who enjoys styling their hair at home and wants advice on how to maintain with hair care and styling tips is also valuable to me.
Why did you choose this career?
Since I can remember I have loved hair, makeup, skincare and just the beauty industry all around. I was always the friend who did everyone else’s makeup and hair for school dances as well as my own. I have always been a creative and artistic person and I love talking and connecting with people. This career is the best of both worlds because I can express myself and help others with their self expression as well and also make them feel like their best self.
What’s your favorite quote?
“A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms...”
It has taken me quite awhile to become comfortable in my own skin and not feel inferior to others. We all deserve to feel beautiful! And we all are beautiful
Hobbies outside your profession?
Roller skating, performance art with hula hoops, spending time outside, cuddling my fat cat, listening to true crime and terrifying myself, caring for my plants and going to see live music
Who’s your biggest professional inspiration and why?
My current inspo is coming from Paige Brueck -pink dagger- on Instagram! She is a hairstylist in GA and I love her creative style. She is wildly talented at doing vivid color and textured cuts. You can tell how much she has built up a clientele of solely work that she is passionate about doing. She also has the perfect mixture of more natural hair clients and more bold and loud hair clients. I would love to have a similar following!
What’s one thing you’d like all your future guests to know?
I want my guests to know I am here to help them. It is my sole purpose in this career to provide you with solutions. I want to help people fall in love with their own look and feel confident when they walk into any room. I am here to give you my professional opinion and help you in the areas you may not know the most about. I will always make sure you are comfortable when you’re in my chair and advise you on what will work best for your lifestyle when it comes to how to maintain your hair both at and in between appointments. You are the reason I do what I do!
