Top three strengths behind the chair:
Babylights, dimensional brunettes, shags/razor cutting
**A LITTLE ABOUT ME Favorite type of haircut?
My favorite type of haircut is honestly anything with lots of layering. I use my razor a lot, so I prefer really soft, blended styles. Anything from a super textured shag to a long Farrah style, is so fun.
Favorite color service?
My favorite color to do is definitely brunette balayage. There’s just something really wonderful about a rich chocolate brown with sandy or caramel dimension. People with dark hair often think their options are limited, but there are really so many ways to do highlights that won’t end in high contrasted stripes!
Why did you choose this career?
I chose this career initially because I loved experimenting with my own hair growing up. Then, once I got more established in the industry, I actually realized the best part was having the ability to give someone confidence and happiness. Few people have the opportunity to form such a connection with others at their job and I feel insanely lucky to have that chance.
Biggest professional inspiration?
My biggest professional inspiration would actually be all the other hair stylists I’ve ever worked with. I’ve been fortunate enough to be surrounded by such incredibly gifted people in my decade of doing hair, that I’m constantly inspired. Between Bunny’s beautiful pixie cuts and Leah’s phenomenal vivid colors, I’m continuously in awe every day and striving to learn more.
Favorite quote?
If I had to pick a favorite quote, I’d go full cheese and say “I have no fear, I have only love”. It’s from “Gypsy”, written by Stevie Nicks - which if you know me, you know she’s my all time fave. The song is about fearlessness and freedom and I genuinely try to go into every moment and every experience with love in my heart. (I warned this was going to be super cheesy!) So yeah, without pushing toxic positivity, that quote has always meant a lot to me!
