Favorite type of haircut? Why?
I love texture! A good long layer with curtain bangs - face framing and textured bobs are super fun too.
Favorite color service? Why? Dimensional highlights and balayage for sure. It’s so easy to get creative with all the different techniques I’ve learned throughout the years. I love how balayage is so easily customized to each of my clients!
What are some other services you enjoy? Since moving to Colorado, I’ve had the opportunity to do tons of bridal hair. I love being part of someone’s big day! I love the fast-paced environment mixed with always getting to do something new. It keeps me on my toes and I really enjoy that.
Why did you choose this career? When I was little, I had this baby pink and purple kaboodle filled with scrunchies, butterfly clips and colorful Bobbie pins. I loved making my little sister sit in a chair while I played hair stylist. I have always had a passion for making hair look beautiful, but as my career went on, I realized there is so much more to this career than just making hair look good. I’ve met countless wonderful people and connected with others I may never have without this job.
Most memorable moment with a client? I have many memorable moments with clients, but saying good bye to clients to move to another state was truly memorable. I cried with clients - some even gave me going away gifts. Some asked to follow me on social media just to keep up with my life - and some even said they would travel all the way to Denver from Milwaukie to get their hair done. It really showed me the impact I can make on people just through doing their hair.
Hobbies outside of your profession? Thrifting, hiking, cooking, roller blading, camping, refurbishing furniture :)
