A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Top three strengths behind the chair: Bright blonding, textured cuts (short & long), color melting
Most memorable moment with a client? One of my client’s husbands took a can of hairspray and a lighter out front of the salon I used to work at and was making a blow torch (do not try at home!) All the stylists were laughing so hard! Also attending my clients weddings… gets me crying every time!
Why did you choose this career? The honest answer is, as an 18 year old I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. I blindly signed up for Paul Mitchell the School with zero expectations and it turned out I really loved it. I chose to open a salon because I wanted to create an inclusive setting for fellow stylists where I could help support them grow and discover how truly talented they are.
Who’s your biggest professional inspiration and why? My best friend/old boss Dani from Clementines Salon. She taught me everything I know about doing hair and owning a salon. She’s my ride or die.
Hobbies outside your profession? Plants, plants, and more plants. I recently started working on my rare plant collection. For all the plant nerds out there curious about my rare buddies- I currently have a Florida ghost philodendron, a philodendron pink princess, an albo monstera node (my most prized), and a variegated elephant ear alocasia. Planning on procuring more…
I also love road trips and long walks.
What do you want to be known for in this industry? “I’m not like those other salon owners, I’m a cool salon owner.” I just want to leave a mark on all the stylists that pass through our space. I hope they feel loved, seen, heard and appreciated.
