Salaries:
Current salaries for hairdressers around the country can be found at https://www1.salary.com/hairdresser-Salaries.html. In our opinion, these figures are sad, because stylists work hard and deserve to make a good living. Our stylists make two to four times these figures for several reasons. One is that many stylists figuring into these averages are in smaller, less expensive markets which charge less. Another reason is that many stylists don’t actively manage their careers and education, two things that are intimately intertwined. Growth comes with education, dedication, and hard work. The infamous six-figure stylist isn’t a pipe dream. It’s achievable. It just isn’t achievable overnight. Or in a year or two. Is it achievable in three years on the floor? Probably not, but you can get most of the way there. In four? Yes, but like most things in life worth achieving you’ll need to put in the work and be open to change. Bring a positive attitude, a willingness to work hard, learn and grow. Do those things, and we’ll get you there.

Available Positions

Associate

Our Associate program is designed for licensed stylists who are ready to build their careers while continuing to develop their skills. Work alongside our Master Stylists while gaining hands-on experience in color, highlighting, balayage, extensions, finishing, guest care, consultations, and the daily flow of a successful salon.

From week one, Associates have the opportunity to bring in their own guests during designated opportunity shifts, allowing you to begin building your clientele while continuing your education and training. The program is self-paced and combines hands-on education, mentorship, and real salon experience to help you earn your Mastery and become a confident, successful stylist. Associates are paid hourly while working with Master Stylists and will be paid hourly or commission, whichever is greater, for their opportunity shifts. Must be currently licensed in Washington State.



Experienced Stylist

Already established in your career but looking for more? The Hair Lounge is a commission-based salon focused on continued education, professional growth, and building successful careers. We provide ongoing training in cutting, styling, color, extensions, and current trends, along with business-building through our Summit Salon program.
