Dear Friends,

There are people who leave such a lasting mark that their influence continues long after they’re gone. My mom, Betty, was one of those people. She passed away tragically from a car accident in 2023, but her love, warmth, and example continue to shape the way I live and lead.

Sweet Betty is named after my mom, but it isn’t meant to be a memorial. It’s meant to continue the way she lived. She believed there was always room for one more at the table. Friends became family. People left our home feeling seen, valued, and at ease. That’s the spirit I am trying to carry forward—for our guests and for every person who works beside me.

If you knew my mom, you knew kindness. She had a way of making everyone feel at home. Whether you were sitting around our kitchen table for the first time or the hundredth, you were met with warmth, conversation, and the sense that you belonged and you mattered. My mom taught me that the strongest families are built on love, respect, and support for each other. Those are the same values I want to shape Sweet Betty every day.

I believe everyone deserves that kind of experience. My hope is that Sweet Betty is a salon where women of every background, hair texture, and story feel seen and celebrated. I have a special passion for creating an upscale space where women who have too often felt overlooked in luxury salons feel understood and cared for.

The culture we’re building is rooted in respect, encouragement, continuous learning, and care for one another. When people feel supported, they do their best work—and help others do the same.

My greatest wish is that Sweet Betty becomes more than a salon. My goal is to create a place where confidence grows and laughter is shared. If people leave Sweet Betty feeling more confident, cared for, and connected than when they arrived, then I believe we’ve carried Betty’s legacy forward exactly as she would have wanted.
